Introducing Fountain Support

Fountain is a plain text file format for Screenplays.
Just like with Markdown, ThiefMD can edit, preview, combine, and export Fountain files.

Getting started with Fountain is easy. When creating a New Sheet in the Project, just provide the .fountain
extension.

Any new Sheets in the project will be created as fountain files.
Scene Headings
Scene Headings begin with INT.
, EXT.
, EST.
, or INT/EXT.
For instance, simply typing:
INT. OFFICE - DAY
Creates a Scene Heading.
Characters and Dialogue
If you’ve ever seen a script, a character is typed in ALL CAPS, followed by a line with their dialogue.
Fountain makes it easy.
BLAIR
I'm Blair and I'm saying this.
Boom, we created a character named BLAIR and gave them something to say.
Parenthetical are just as easy.
MACKENZIE
I usually hate dogs
(in baby voice)
But you're adorkable.
Action
Action is just a sentence separated from dialogue.
BLAIR
I'm Blair and I'm saying this.
BLAIR pulls out a puppy dressed as Harry Potter to show MACKENZIE.
MACKENZIE
I usually hate dogs
(in baby voice)
But you're adorkable.
In this example, BLAIR pulls out a puppy dressed as Harry Potter to show MACKENZIE.
, is action.
